Recipe For Nonprofit Growth

Eggs are lovely. But they are so much better when combined with other things to make chocolate chip cookies.

Speaking of things that are ok on their own but better when combined, I wrote my last four emails knowing that I would stir and bake them together into this one.

Here are the ingredients again:

  • Sep 15: Meeting cadence

  • Sep 22: Stakeholder feedback

  • Sep 29: Quarterly themes

  • Oct 6: Leadership team health

Any one of these ingredients can benefit an organization. But when combined right, the results are 100x more delicious.

RECIPE FOR GROWTH & IMPACT

  • 1 Healthy Leadership Team: United around vision, productive in conflict

  • 2 Cups Stakeholder Feedback: Sought from all internal and external sources

  • 1 Quarterly Priority: Leadership decides the most pressing issue

  • 4 Meeting Cadences: Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly rhythms to align org

A thriving organization has a healthy leadership team that openly pursues feedback, navigates competing priorities to pick the most important opportunity each quarter, and effectively moves information and alignment through a structured cadence of focused meetings.

When all of these ingredients are combined in the right order and amount, your organization is guaranteed to grow its impact!

Have a great weekend!
